KENT WEHMAN
Kent has been playing the piano for over fifty years. Throughout elementary school, high school, college, and graduate school he studied piano and percussion. His academic training includes a BME from Illinois State University, a MA in Piano Performance and a MFA in Percussion Performance from the University of Iowa. He has taught at Coe College, American Conservatory of Music, and Alan Swain Music Studios. His training and diverse experience enables him to teach many styles of music with students of all ages and backgrounds.
Kent is most grateful for a career in music, as it has allowed him to perform in over forty states and Puerto Rico. Currently, he plays keyboards with the bands Rendezvous and Bad Sneaker Orchestra. In addition to these groups, he maintains a busy freelance schedule performing at restaurants, hotels and private functions.
